Adult Advisor Training Offered in Dover, NH

Each year Dover Youth to Youth conducts an in-depth training for youth advocates interested in joining our local program. This year we are expanding the training to include hands on training for adults interested in starting or energizing a youth group in their community.

The training will take place Monday July 6th through Thursday June 9th in Dover, NH from 8am-4:30pm daily. Adult participants will be exposed to:

    • Multiple presentations used to teach advocacy skills to youth, including: public speaking, media development, and planning an advocacy event.
    • Hands-on opportunity to learn to work with youth who are leaning theatrical skits, recording radio PSAs in the studio, creating a press release and holding a press conference.
    • Adviser only workshops on administering a youth advocacy group, program planning, and supervising youth engaged in action projects.
    • Advocacy resources, action project ideas and much more!

Participants will have the opportunity to apply principals learned with middle school youth advocates attending the training.The training will be held in our facilities in Dover, NH.
